Help reduce micro swirling by pairing this service with a ceramic coating!

Paint Correction

We offer two types of paint correction to restore your vehicles paint and restore the clarity. Pair this up with a coating to maximize your vehicles look for years to come.

What's paint correction?

Do you ever notice your vehicles paint kind of faded or not clear enough because of all the imperfections on the paint such as micro swirls, scratches or oxidation? Paint correction helps by eliminating those imperfections by leveling the paint,  basically by shaving a bit of the clear coat down with a Dual action polisher or rotary so that the paint can be level. When paint correction is done you're eliminating those imperfection which in most cases it's mainly swirls and scratches from improper washing or frequent trips to the automatic car wash. Those imperfections hinder the paints color clarity.

EXAMPLE: Think of swirls and scratches like peaks and valleys. At the peak would be the paints clear coat and the valley would be the scratch/swirl that dug into the paints clear coat. When the sun hits the paints surface with all those imperfections the light is bouncing all over the paints surface because of those"peaks and valleys" in the paint causing you to see all the imperfections on the paint. When a paint correction is preformed your leveling out those imperfections cause light to bounce off the vehicle in the same direction making the paints color to pop and look more refined.

Step 1 paint correction

1 step paint correction removes anywhere from 50%-70% of paint defects and imperfection effectively removing light to minor swirls on the paint. When preforming this we do a couple of test spots with foam pads and cutting compounds to test out which combo foam pad and compound achieve the best out come. The reason we do test spots on the vehicle is because paint is very different on each vehicle.

Paint can be soft meaning its more prone to swirls and scratches by improper washing techniques or even by dragging a dry rag across the paint. Some paint can also be hard which in some instances  may need to use a more stiff foam pad and a more abrasive compound to cut through the paint then a vehicle that has soft paint in which case we may just use a light foam pad and polish compound but we will always make sure the job is done right to achieve the best possible out come.

Step 2 paint correction

A 2 step correction is highly effective on restoring paint that has been neglected. This process is more time consuming that requires two steps. The first step would be the cutting phase and the second step would be the polishing step hence the name 2 step paint correction.

2 step paint correction is a more aggressive form of cutting through the paints imperfections removing around 80%-95% of defects off the paint. This is achieved by first using a course/ microfiber cutting pad to remove those deeper swirls and scratches paired up with a high cutting compound.  The polishing of the paint is the 2nd step and final step of the process and will remove hazing, holograms and micro swirls left behind by the cutting phase leaving the paint free of any defect and imperfection. This final step will leave the paint looking extremely reflective and will enhance the color of the vehicle.

Previous correction job

This ram 1500 received  a 1 step paint correction due to the truck getting entirely repainted. The body shop called my client and let them know the truck was "done" and ready to get picked up. After he picked up the truck the paint was all hazed  and swirled up. He let me know prior that they supposedly sanded and polished the entire vehicle which they most definitely did not when I arrived to take a look at the truck. The client knew that they lied and called me up to fix there mistake. With all the hazing on the paint and swirls a 1 step cut through all the hazing and a majority of the swirls on the paint. After the correction the paint became clear and haze free. The client was happy with the final out come of the vehicle
